Testing Results for
Windfall
Mastiffs
We
have always been very much into health testing our dogs and our
offspring.
This
helps us to stand behind our guarantee if we know there are problems, helps the
owner in working with a dog with a problem,
as
well as lets us know where our problems lie if we plan to continue breeding some
of these dogs.
However
this also helps the mastiff community in looking at pedigrees and finding dogs
that have strong health
backgrounds
when looking at dogs for breeding. All our offspring are required to health
test, pets as well
as
show dogs and all info is made public.
Some
tests are still pending, some not completed yet and some I just don't have the
results of.
So
this page will change accordingly.
If
you have done some testing lately on one of your Windfall Mastiffs,
please
forward your results to us so we can update this page.
Currently
we are asking all our pup owners, esp. males to test their dogs for
Cystinuria.
We
have recently produced a litter of Positive boys and UPENN is asking for all
boys related to submit blood and urine.
In
asking all our pups to test, should a boy test positive, then all relatives are
asked to participate in the research at no charge.
So
please if you have not yet submitted urine to UPENN, please contact me for more
details and the correct forms.
